A Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator, Ann is a nutritionist in private practice on the eastern end of Long Island serving the South and North Forks.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics from the State University College of New York at Buffalo, Ann worked for many years at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City and North Shore University Medical Center in Manhasset, New York prior to relocating to the Hamptons. Ann began pursuing her Hamptons’ private practice in 1987 with doctor referrals. Over time, she became a participating provider with numerous insurance companies and her list of referring physicians and patients grew.
In addition to her
private practice in nutrition, Ann is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in
the Diet Technician Program at
Suffolk County Community College in Riverhead, New York. Ann has a
Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition from New York University. She has been
actively involved with her professional organizations for many years including as
Chairperson of the Nutrition Entrepreneurs Dietetic Practice Group of the
American Dietetic Association and as Reimbursement Chair for the New York State
Dietetic Association. Ann has lectured extensively on nutrition in a variety of
settings.
Ann's newest venture is as coauthor of the book, Making Nutrition Your Business: Private Practice and Beyond (ADA 2011). In addition to assisting colleagues start in private practice, Ann is also available for presentations on making nutrition your business.
When not working Ann enjoys physical activity, cooking and traveling.
